This weeks holiday 100 word challenge

PLEASE – look at this weeks 100 word challenge prompt below, ‘…as the sun came out…’ type it onto your individual blog and let me know when you have finished. I wish the sun would come out! What a shocking start to the holidays!

Just a couple of reminders this week:

  • 3 signatures in your reading diaries (signed by an adult) on Monday
  • PE kits on Monday
  • Look at the new 100 word challenge prompt and type up onto your own blog.

On a brighter note…it’s Poppy’s first birthday today! (we had a party for her yesterday:-)) I came to go on my laptop earlier and she was sat at it…I think she was trying the 100 word challenge!

Have a great holiday and a good rest!

Remember Year 6 – there is nothing to worry about! Just keep calm and do your best! It’s time for you to ‘show off’ and show everyone what fantastic progress you have made.

Try and chill this weekend and get plenty of sleep! Make sure you also have a good breakfast. You will be able to come into school from 8.30am Monday – Thursday for a muffin, milk and some ‘calm’ time with your friends before the test begin.

Mrs White posted the poem below on Twitter for you all:

Layton does Gangnam Style

Wherever there is a tune and fancy dress costumes, there is likely to be over 600 children and 70 staff dancing to it. So, how could everyone at Layton Primary School pass on the opportunity to perform their own version of Gangnam style by South Korean rapper, PSY.

We hope you enjoy watching it, as much as we did making it. Please click on the post heading and leave us a comment.

Happy Christmas from everyone at Layton Primary School! :-)

Christmas Fair – Thank you…

Thank you to all concerned for your help with the Christmas Fair and in particular the Year 6 stall. We have not counted all of the money yet but, we’re sure we’ll have made a good start towards your end of year Prom.

Your parents and carers were extremely generous in sending in goods for the tombola…thankyou!

Mrs Maddocks, Miss Law, Mrs Hastings, Mrs Walsh and Mrs Bentley have been superstars in helping you bake, paint, cut, glue, wrap…ready for your stall…thank you!

Most importantly you guys made some fantastic Christmas gifts to sell and buy on the night and are a credit to your parents/carers and Layton Primary School.

We hope you had fun and can’t wait for the summer fair!

Mrs J and Miss H :-)
